Tranny or PCM

I need some advise on this one. I have a 01 Z28 all the normal bolt-ons plus a TCI converter and B&M shift improver. Here is whats happening. When I first had he converter installed the car was shifting pretty good. I just had a dyno tune done and now the converter is progressively locking up under part throttle at 30mph. When under part throttle it feels like it bucking. On full throttle it seems better but the converter is still not kicking in quickly. I took the car to a very good tranny shop and they said that the converter clutche might be shot. They did a modification to the valve body(something to the pump). I have only had the converter for 8 months. It's never been to the track. Here is the question. Is there something in the PCM that can be adjusted or should I just plan on the new converter? The car never acted like this before. I just don't want to drop $800 on a new converter just to find it was something a retune could have fixed. Any suggestions?
