Torque Arm Comparison?

Hey guys Im in the market for a aftermarket body mount torque arm.
Ive seen one from Jegs a "Jegster" Body Mount T/A for 93-97 f-bodies.
Ive seen the BMR Trak Pak T/A
and ive seen the Spohn body mount T/A

Has anyone had experience with the Jegs?
Its a bolt in and considerably cheaper... I dont need anything that will take a 10 second pass or anything... Just something that works well enough to run 12s for now.

Any information would be appreciated

The areas I would be concerned about, from just looking at the info on the Jegster:

-you will have to tear the carpet out to do the "bolt-in" front mount. The Granatelli was like this, a real PITA.

-the arm uses a "slider" in the front to accomodate the mandatory changes in length as the TA and the LCA's rotate around two different points. Spohn's original TA design was a "slider" and it wasn't really very reliable as HP went up. A lot of people managed to break them. They were repaired or replaced, but the design really wasn't good for big HP. Spohn abandoned that design.

-the 2/3 the length gives 1.5X the downforce is an intersting concept, but as you trade off the length, the lift on the front goes down. You're approaching a "ladder bar" design. Stealth and Madman advocate a "longer" arm. Spohn and BMS seem to pretty much match the factory length. Not sure which is better.... I just know there are people pulling 1.2X 60-fts with the Madman, BMR and Spohn arms. Maybe someone is doing that with the Jegster, so they need to stand up and be counted. The "2/3" length also increases the "shear" on the slider by 50%, so it may make the slider design even less reliable.

Spohn and BMR are proven designs. If you are under 400HP, you could probably get away with the low $$$ arms that simply mount to the stock location on the tranny tailshaft. For higher HP setups, the "body mount" is mandatory IMHO. The Spohn bolt-in is a little more user friendly.

Okay... The reason Im looking at body mount is I decided to swap a th-400 in and begin the cars transformation to all out drag car.
I would probably be better off buying a used BMR or spohn i guess... you bring up some good points about the jegster that I hadnt realized.
Is that why its so much cheaper? the slider design and such?
I guess ive got to think about this some more... the cars got nitrous in its future... i probably shouldnt skimp on anything....
Thanks fred

Check my mod's list.... TH400, 300-shot, Spohn TA.

I spend some time helping out on this car.... TH400, 22# Vortech boost, Spohn TA. 1.31-sec 60 ft, 8.76@160MPH.
