Problem with Ram Clutch
I was a the drag strip friday night doing a couple of runs. First run I launched at 2gs, it sucked I wasnt paying attention. The car hooked fine and ran a 8.9 . Second time around about 30 minutes later- I staged, reved to 2500 and launched. I took off from there but was surprised to find out that I needed to shift into second so soon and then third and I found out that I wasnt even half way down the track.
My brand spankin new Ram clutch had slipped from my launch till whenever I let off the gas. Why in the hell did it do this and did I mess something up...when I start off in forst gear it trembles a little bit. I'm thinking smething happened with the thr-out bearing but I really dont fee like rippin it apart after I installed it and just got done brasing it. Thanks for the help guys!

My response I EXPECTED from the clutch was one that could support a phathetic 400 hp...as stated in the sales ad. I even had a center force and that was **** as well.
I'm going to go with a SPEC and fry this one tonight at the strip.

Well, I checked mine out and it was alright, but the flywheel and the pressure plate was blue (from slipping).
The last time out on the strip it must have held up pretty good, considering that I put on a set of drag radials and around a 2500 rpm launch and broke the crankshaft. ???
oh well,

No I don't have the powergrip. I went back to the track (of course) and it held up okay at 2100. Reaction time was a hell lot better too. I'm gonna try again at the track this friday at 2500 and see if maybe I rode the clutch when I gassed it. Could have been just a driver error...ill keep you guys posted.
