I like the B&M "Hi-Tek" cooler pictured here http://www.bmracing.com/products/acc...iTekCooler.jpg The small size and integral fan gives you a lot of options as to where to mount it and it is very effective. No, I don't think you need a tranny temp gauge.

I was wondering something similar. How is the electric fan hooked up? Is it temp activated, always running, or switch? I am going need a good one too----good post,

Where are these usually mounted? In front of radiator? Do you drill--or is it straps?

There is a 160 degree thermostat. Works great - with nearly 900hp in my 4,000lb car with a 4,200 stall I never see more than 195 degrees at the end of a 1/4m pass. never gets near that hot on the street. Mine is mounted horizontally under the passenger side headlight. Used the mounting tabs on the cooler.

Perma-Cool makes a similar fan-assisted cooler.... Sounds like mine is mounted like Rich's, but on the drivers side.

Is that picture from the bottom? So it's parallel with with the ground?

With the mounting tabs do u use zip ties?--I remember hearing that from somone once. Are those Zip ties in the picture Injuneer? I just don't want to be drilling holes in my baby

Thanks
