TH-400 into LT1 car swap

Hey guys. Im looking to do a Turbo 400 in my 96. im sick of the damn OD trans breaking, and now that its screwed as well as the rear end, I figure its time to put the car under the knife for all out drag car. I see BMR has a LS1 TH-400 crossmember and a LT1 Powerglide/TH-350 crossmember.
What do I need to adapt this to fit the TH-400 in the LT1 car?
Anyone have any idea? If all else fails i guess i can get the welder out... but this is easier lol

I got the weldor out - my friend Bud who is an ace fabricator. He modified my M6 tranny mount in about 20 minutes. I don't know of a bolt-in LT1 solution, though it may exist.

Use a stock 6 speed cross member and slot the hole a little.

That's right, the welding was for the DS loop.

Same here. Real easy to do. I may go back and make a better x-member one day, but that's pretty far down on the list o' priorities.

I just had mine installed last week. I used a t56 crossmember for a 94 and had to slot the hole in the center longer and add a 3/4" shim under the transmission mount. They made a nice round aluminum donut for the shim. It looks real nice. We even managed to fit the TCI transmission shield on with only a tiny cut into the car floor.

The CSI composite shield fits with no trouble at all. It's light too.

Plus mine fit like a champ. Not too big on those damn allen-head bolts they sent, but I needed to replace them anyway since I run an UltraBell too.
