I don,t know who your talking too but the TA girdle is definately worth getting.
I have one on my 10 bolt in my 94 and I think it has helped alot in keeping my rear end alive.

its well worth it!!!!! don't get 4.10's though, get 4.11's because there pinion is alot bigger and is less likely to bust

With an M6 I would go lower (higher numerically) on the rear gear.
You might see a slight drop in gas mileage but if you keep your foot out of it it won,t be that bad.
I get around 18 average with 3.73s and stall, thats combined city and hiway and since I have a beater to daily drive it gets the heavy foot treatment when I do drive it.

With an m6 and 4:10 gears (belive it or not) you will see better gas mileage around town depending on your right foot. Highway mileage will not change much, but will be "slightly" less up to 70/75 mph. This is what I experienced with a few motor mods,

HotCam kit, Hooker LT's, some head work, LT1 edit tuning, m6, and the 4:10 gears.

I avg 13 in the city, 23/25 on the Highway, but it is really going to be directly related to your right foot.

I think the 3:42 stock gears are lugging the enging.

bybyc5 i basically have the same stuff you do, except for my engine isnt done yet, still being put together. and also i am getting someone locally to do my tuning, from the badrap club.

also bybyc5 what are you running in the 1/4 are what type of numbers are you putting up on the dyno.

95Firechicken....

Not to jack this thread..but..

I have no real dyno numbers, and no track times.
But on the street this combo is fun...numerous encounters with C5's has ended in my favor, and recently ran an 03 Cobra from the dig, and at the end of 3rd gear he was an honest 2 cars back and falling.
