Does anyone know who makes good main cap girdles for 400 sbc engines... I know I probably don't need them but I am thinking that girdles with a windage tray will give me piece of mind that the thing is gunna be stable and hopefully gain me a couple hp from less wobble and the windage tray...

Because Chevy's don't need them!! Just kidding. I haven't run into them for a 400- but I've never one looking for them either. The 400 has the main cap bolts spread out further than those on 350 or smaller small block Chevys, so even if you found one for a 350 it wouldn't fit. You will need one specifically for the 400 block.

This is race car stuff. Check with places that cater to circle track racers or high end drag racers and they might have what you want.
