Swapping to A4 - OBD1 vs OBD2

I am looking to swap in an A4 transmission. My car is a 97. 364 days out of the year my car is OBD1. The other day of the year I put in a stock OBD2 computer.

How can I make this work with my computer issues. Would I want to put in a 94/95 4l60E since I normally run OBD1. Would it drive ok with the OBD2 computer in there? Its not driven hard with OBD2.

Is there any speedometer issues doing this?

Any other issues I need to know about? I know I need to splice in a new leg to the PCM for the trans.

I can take care of the PCM with re-flashing it for the Auto correct?
