I bought my z28 and the tranny grinds going into third gear but only third and it only happens when the car is at 2500 rpm or higher. I was told it was the syncro's. Is it worth just getting a new tranny or getting this one rebuilt as the prices where I am is not that much different. Does anybody have a t56 for a good price???

It would be helpful to know more a little more about the car. IMO I would get it rebuild by a reputable tranny shop. Buying one used can get you screwed over really fast. I bought mine used and it had to be rebuilt anyways.

 

Thanks that is what I was thinking to I heard that these trannys are just weak and 90 percent of the time you have to upgrade them anyways.
