Re: Street Twin installed = Holy crap!! Got some ??

I have a carbon fiber driveshaft, so I think I'm petty good as far as the driveshaft is concerned. But, I do not expect my poor old 10-bolt to last that long, no hard launches or mad power shifting until I can replace the stock rearend. I'm saving for a strange 12-bolt or a Fab 9" from Billingsly Racing, that should take care of my weak rearend.

Everyone... Thanks for all the help, support and suggestions!

FWIW the spline in the yoke is what's going to twist.. not the shaft itself.. and personally i wouldn't want a composite driveshaft either in a drag application either.. when you get your upgraded rear i would def. look into either a denny's or a Spohn d.s both meatier unit's.. Good luck w/ your new clutch.. you have just gotten the last one you'll ever need only 325 to rebuild it as well..

But thats from launching hard and whatnot right?

Does breaking tranny/ds/and rear happen from shifting hard once you get to a rolling start? Well, i'm sure it does... but how likely is that to happen?
