Will it work alright? Does the stock converter have lock up dampeners?
Thanks,

You would need to Ask Frank but I would see no reason a stock converter would not be just fine and yes they have the dampner

It'll work, but it's going to shift alot firmer... Yes, a stock converter SHOULD have a damper.

Question

Dude, this tranny chirps the tires every time it shifts from first to second. The motor is stock to the paper filter. Is thier anyway to tone it down alittle? Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
Is your line pressure in the computer set to stock parameters? We build these things to shift a little firmer, but that's so they hold up under the abuse most of them see.

Thanks,
