I'm interested in this also. I'm going to be retrofitting an aftermarket GM T56 into my 94 Firebird. The aftermarlet T56 is set up for a gear spedo just like the 700R4 and the T5. I think we could use a VSS and reluctor out of a 91-92 TPI F-body. This would give us 4 pulses per rev (I think) which is far short of what our PCM's expect. With LT1 edit we may be able to rescale the VSS but I don't know if we can scale that far. Other option is a Dakoda converter box. I'll keep looking for an elegant solution and post if I find something.
