spec stage 4 HOLDING POWER
spec stage 4 HOLDING POWER
got it in last night and it does chatter a bit but i only have 5 miles on it so idk. took it down a few streets and then let it seat in...... smoked 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and chirped 4th and probly would of chirped 5th had i wanted to go over 100 down a city street lol.
i have a 2000 ws6 with a stock master and 02 slave cylinder (bought a used mcloed adjustable master that must of been bad)
all in all, if you don't mind a little bit of chatter in 1st driving around normal (pussyfooting it) than its the perfect ***** out clutch that will hold ANYTHING you can throw at it on the stock direct port heads and cam engine and 12 bolt

i have the spec 4......i didnt break it in for "500 miles" i was easy on it for a little while to make sure everything was ok....but i was spraying a 150hit on it with less that 300mi on it.
granted it says to on the little white piece of paper they give you with the clutch, but the clutch disk is not organic....there for it will not glaze over if not broken in.
the break in period is just a power play for spec to not warrenty bad installs pretty much.
congrats with the spec 4....i fuc*ing love this clutch.

SPEC has great Customer Service. I've never heard of them not covering their clutches for any reason (except maybe obvious ones). IMO, Even with the non-organic friction materials a proper break-in is good practice. This is mostly to 'smooth' the flywheel and eliminate Excessive wear of the friction material during the break-in period.

there is suppose to be a 500 mile break in period. I guess you must like doing clutch installs
