...........in the '02 a couple weeks ago; just taking her cool; and as I slip her from 4th to 3rd the shifter pops off in my hand and the trans made it as far as neutral. So there I am in the hammered lane, in neutral, coasting, trying to get the handle back on the shifter stub. Got it back on and babied her home; then I had to take out the console to find the two bolts. Car has 6K kms (3500mi). The bolts must've been loose from the factory. Just a funny thing that happened. This ever happen to any of you guys??
