SLP short shifter

I finally got the SLP short shifter and installed it. All went well with the shifter. There is a bit of vibration in nuetral but that seems normal I guess. The real problem (stupid problem) is that I also got a Hurst leather **** and when I screw it on, it doesnt tighten to the angle I wanted it to. I have to loosen it for it to be on straight. ANY TIPS????

Re: SLP short shifter

The only thing I can think of is to put a lot of thread locker on it or super glue and turn it until its in the position you want, and let it dry. It will be a PITA to take off tho

Re: SLP short shifter

I stuffed a little newspaper into the **** and test fitted it. I kept doing that until it was just right, then tightened it down hard. You could also put a thin nut onto the shift stick and adjust it until it's where you want it. I didn't wanna bother hiding the nut, so I just did it my way. Shouldn't use loctite or glue whatever you do, because you will have to take it off again.

Re: SLP short shifter

I used thin washers on top of the stick to adjust the **** position.
