Sigh....trans problems.

Okay, i have a 94 Z28 A4....or should said i did, now i have a 94 Z28 with no trans. What would be my best bet to get something that works, swap a new one in? I would rather just get rid of this crap...it was supposedley rebuilt just 3 months ago, and i didn't really abuse it so can i get some advice on what to do?
