reverse lockout wiring help!!!
Technically no. Will it work. Probably. Test and see if you get 12v with the key in the run position.
The pink wire that Injuneer is talking about goes to the ignition system. It will work for a power source as it gives 12volts with the key in the run position.
For the life of me I cant find any pink wire coming out of the TCC in any of the diagrams I have. The only one close is after the brake switch that goes to the "Gauges Fuse" in the I/P box.

OKOKOK. Finally found it. Injuneer was 100% correct. There is a pink wire coming out of the TCC the goes dierctly to the IGN fuse on one of my diagrams. I will send it to you. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
I went under the car today to do the actual wiring and saw that there is actually two pink wires coming from the TCC connector. Which one do i use???? Or just use either one???? Any help would be awesome. And since I just need a 12v+ source, is there another wire in that connector that will work if I can't find which pink one is the right one? Thanks guys!
The pink wire you want is coming from pin "E" of the connector. The other pink wire goes to the trans temp sensor.
In short you want the pin in the middle row all by itself. Double check the wire for 12 volts before you tie it all up and take the car off jack stands.
I'll e-mail you the connector view and the pinout.

Janny- Yeah, i got it wired, I tested that pink wire that swingrrr was talking about and it was a 12v source. The only problem is I am waiting on a clutch to come, and I am going to install clutch/tranny and get everything back in order this weekend. I will let you know how everything turned out
Re: reverse lockout wiring help!!!
If you have a pink wire in the old A4 connector, simply connect a volt meter to the pink wire, and to ground, and verify that it is in fact +12V switched power. Shouldn't be all that hard.
On the brown wire, you could pull the harness connector off the PCM, and do a continuity check from pin 6 on the connector to the end of the brown wire on the old A4 connector.
You will then know what apparently no one on the face of the earth, including the many people who have actually done the A4->M6 swap, knows.

Are you sure you counted the pins correctly? If you were on the wrong side of the plug you may have been looking at D27, which is the only pin 6 from the end that would be empty.
