reverse input drum

hey guys, ripped apart my transmission the other day, and the reverse input drum is kinda messed up where the band grabs on it, since the band ran right down to metal on metal, so now whats my options? i can get it machined right? can my local Napa machine shop do that? how much would it cost, would it be cheaper to buy a new housing, cuz if i get it machined i would need a longer servo pin right? well i know there has to be other people out there that had the same problem, tell me whats the best fix for it, thanks guys! also whats some really good sites for buying tranny parts for a resonable price? thanks

If you have it machined, you'll need a longer servo apply pin. 60E's already have the longest you can get, though. You'll have to put a pin extender, from Fitz-All on it, or have it lengthened.

GM sells that drum through your local Chevy dealership for around $100.
