Result From Transmission Check...

I got my car tested at the place that built my tranny after hard 1-2 shifts and sometimes not going into 4th gear on the highway and he said the tranny is normal but I have a few engine codes, EGR and TPS. I didn't think these could cause my symptoms?

Yes, TPS has a great effect on shift timing, firmness, and scheduling. The computer control these things by using input from the throttle opening. Your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is what sends this signal to the computer.

I had a TPS problem once and made the tranny do all kinds of weird things..

Get a scan tool on there and read the TPS volts and percentages..
