Rear Swap Question

I have a tired rear end in my 93 bird, I know it has 3.23 gears and is a 3 series carrier. But my questions is; I bought a rear from a 01' Camaro, it also has 3.23. Can I just swap what I need to my rear end? or does it not work that way? I am lost here, and dont know if this works. I heard that I have a torsen unit and the 01 is auburn? Can someone shed some light for me?

The brake setup is different but adaptable. Also need to know if the donor car is a 3 channel abs (abs sensor on top of pumpkin) or 4 channel abs(sensor on end of each axle.

I will check to see for both of those. But I am not trying to put the hole rear end under, just want to swap out the "guts".

It will be 100000000 times easier just to swap out the whole rear. I would just slap it in there and not worry about the ABS.

F-bodies that had LS from 93 thru 98 had Auburn clutch type LS.

F-bodies that had LS from 99 thru 02 had Torsens

The exception to these rules are the SLP cars (SS & Firehawk) could be special ordered with HD Auburns or T2s

What is the differance between Auburn & Torsens? Can one be put in place of the other IE 2001 rear replacing a 1998 rear giving they are 3 channel, posi, limited slip, similar gears, etc?
