Rear-end problem?

I was heating up the slicks today at the track and my friend told me that at a point during the burnout, the driver side wheel just stopped while the other one was still moving. I switched to regular tires when I got home, tried another burnout and it didn't stop. (I did it at lower RPMs though)
I'll post the video soon. Any ideas?

PS. The burnouts were done with a line lock.

I knew you were going to pick on me for that. The Drivetrain forum takes forever to get a reply, that's why I posted here.

Steve,
the car trapped low for its power, that's why I'm thinking the posi might be shot.

Re: Rear-end problem?

Forgot to mention. I sometimes get a low trac light, mostly from a stop. (normal driving)
Also I can hear some clanking noise (not loud at all) from the rear at turns.

Re: Rear-end problem?

I think you know what it is......but don't want to know it. Posi sounds like it's getting weak. With slicks you will be able to tell.....because it strains the posi more (needs more holding power with the slicks). So it makes sense with street tires they both would spin......because it is pretty easy to spin them compared to the slicks.
