Question about gear change

Question about gear change

If I don't have posi, then I would need the open carrier type gear set up, right? Don't really know too much in that field.

You need gears for a 3-series carrier if that's your 97.

I think you have an Auburn Differential.

Best way to find out exactly what type of differential you have so you can order the correct gears is to call the dealer, and have them look up your differential by your Vin number. From there you'll know exactly what you need.
