Pro Built Automatics?

About a month or so a go I posted here about my tranny problems.

In no way was I going through a 3rd rebuild just so it can toast on me. Either the 4l60e is crap or the people rebuilding them are crap.

Either way I did some research and found Pro-Built Automatics.

At first I was torn between a rebuild with their kit or an all out tranny from them.

I figured what sense is it to buy hi-performance kits if none of the re-builders know how to build the tranny to last.

So I'm going for either of these 2 trannys:

http://www.pro-built.net/index.cfm?f...&productid=175

http://www.pro-built.net/index.cfm?f...&productid=195
I think 1 is good with the stock torque converter while the other isn't.

Bottom line, has anyone here bought any of Pro-Built's products?
Do they live up to the claims of durability/reliability.
Most of all how was overall customer service/shipping etc.

As always,

Thanks again

I loved my rebuild kit from them until my motor went out about 600 miles later. The service and tech support is top notch!

about 8 wot runs with the setup in my sig burnt my tranny. that tranny had a perfomance rebuild from a local shop that is now out of business. i got a road race tranny from pro-built because of my driving habits and havent had a problem (knock on wood). its been in the car for about 3 weeks now. ive made several wot runs shifting at 6200 rpm and no sign of slippage. it shifts real nice. Dana at pro-built is a great guy to do business with. give him a call and tell him how you drive and what you're planning to do with your car and he'll build you what you need. im 100% satisfied with his work.

My '95 Z28 is the exact same color as yours, but it doesn't have that ****ty spoiler or body effects.

Tell me about it. The spoiler and GFX were on it when it was bought and I've not felt like taking them off yet. I hate both the fuggers, the GFX and wavy as hell on the bottom. ARGGG!!!

It runs (when it isn't broke) like a raped ape, though. People just think, "Ahhh, some ****ty looking ricey camaro."
