Question precision gears vs motive gears

I need to replace my whiney GM Motive 3.73 gears.
Last mechanic ruined my brand new gears.
Local Gear install shop saying he had a great luck with precision and experience.
He only have done only 2-3 GM Motive gear install.
I want stock quietness what I use to have with 3.42. ( I wish I have never done that upgrade to 3.73)
People who have experience with those manufacturer what you all recommend and how much they are running it for ?
Rear end is stock 7.5
Thanks

Re: precision gears vs motive gears

The OEM gears are AAM (American Axle Marine), not Motive

I have used both Precision and Motive gears without issue. "How" they are installed makes a difference. Do it wrong and they will whine and make noise

Precision gears are very good. My Precision gear box was actually their sticker over AAM made gears
