Unhappy posi Carrier Help

Ok my Posi is shot need to replace it.
I wanted to get an eaton unit but the don't make a 2 series carrier.
My question is what size carrier do I have now I have 2.73.
So I have a 2 series carrier right?
So what do I buy?
If I get the 3 series carrier I have to buy new gears and have them set up.
I don't have money for that.
I can't just replace the ring gear without a pinion gear right?
But no one seams to make a 2 series carrier.
I don't want an auburn because they are not rebuildable right?
They got those cones that wear down then you replace the whole thing.
Like I am having to do right now.
So what should I get?
Some web pages say I have a 3 series carrier some say I have a 2 series carrier.
How can I find this out my self?

I hope somebody can help me out.
I'm riped
Thanks,
Chris

Re: posi Carrier Help

You are one confused person, most answers to your questions are NO. With your 2:73 gear ratio you have a 2-series carrier. You need to a search on this subject (just covered on www.thirdgen.org). With a 2-series carrier your options are VERY LIMITED.
