Poly Trans mount on M6

I did a search and some people are saying that after the Poly mount is installed on an M6 that the trans crossmember needs to be modified. But nobody is stating what needs to be modified.

Do spacers need to be installed? Washers? How much does the M6 crossmember have to be dropped?

I'm looking for any info on this modification for the M6 after the Poly trans mount install.

This is a 1995 Z28 / M6.

Mount

Have ran a poly trans mount on my m6 for over a year and never did any kind of mods to the trans mount.

Mine has a stock trans mount and ~900rwhp. What's the point?

I already replaced the engine mounts with poly. So I figured why not on the trans mount.

There are a good number of threads that say to "modify" the M6 crossmember... It's just that no one says how.

Oh well, if the modification isn't needed then I guess there is no point.

I installed the complete Energy Suspension poly mount under my M6, exactly the way it came out of the package. No shims, no modifications, no part deletes. Worked fine for years. 13 years later the same ES poly mount is sitting under my TH400 + GV setup.

Wrong forum..... this is "engine" tech. Moving........
