Drivetrain Clutch, Torque Converter, Transmission, Driveline, Axles, Rear Ends

no 3rd or 4th, and it slips in 1st and 2nd?

no 3rd or 4th, and it slips in 1st and 2nd?

Is there anything electronic that may cause this. The transmission is got 26 miles on it. It was just rebuilt at the local dealership? Open to any help. Oh yea, it has a 2500 lockup stall in it.

You got a warranty on it right?
Take it back and have them look at it.

Sounds like the syncros...take it back and have them decide what's wrong since I'm sure you paid them a decent amount to fix it correctly in the first place...

they messed up on the wiring somehow, OR the programming u got on ur pcm is for the wrong year.

when i got my tranny done by a local shop, the damn thing would start out in 2nd and shift to third and that's it! and mine had a 2800 stall back then. i had already had pcm programmed for a 2800 stall, but the problem was that it was for the WRONG YEAR TRANSMISSION.

WEll, my new phrase is the HELL WITH THE CHEVY PLACE! They wouldnt return my calls, and then when i went up there the man said since i had a cam and a different computer install that he wouldnt warrenty anything. After showing my tail, i am still out a lot of money and more money in the future. Its almost time to say the hell with the camaro and get a reliable car.

Did he know you had a cam and comp tune when he rebuilt it?
If he did then I would stay on his ***.
If not then you really don,t have much room to argue, its always better to be honest with your engine and tranny builders and tell them exactly what you are going to do with the product you want them to build for you, that way if you have problems it looks better for you.

"We talked about you building me an engine that would live spraying 300 shot of Nitrous and the thing blew up with a 250 shot."
"Yeah your right, I.ll take care of it"

VS

" That engine you built me blew up when I sprayed it with Nitrous"
"You said nothing about Nitrous so I aint going to fix it."

Now it aint always that cut and dry but if your honest from the beginning about your intentions then you will be happier with the product.

Although in your case it sounds like he just don,t know how to build a tranny.

Yes, the man was aware of everything that i had done to the car. He said, sure it will work fine, but i recommend a shift kit or you will cut the life of the transmission in half. Well, i didnt have a shift kit, but if all i was gonna get was 52, i think i made a wise choice.
Maybe i will have better luck with better people
