"new" 12 bolt or "old" 12 bolt

I was wondering if there was any difference between the new Moser 12 bolt rear ends and the old GM 12 bolts used back in the 60's/70's. My dad told me he could get me a old 12 bolt pretty decent from his friend up north but I don't know if there will be any difference

Well, Moser and Strange make bolt in rear end assemblys for 4th gens. Ignoring any differences between the units themselves, an old 12-bolt from a 60-70's car will require major fab work to fit on a 4th gen.
