Need Transmission Help

I have a 97 Z28 Camaro. I race 1/8 mile dragways. Here lately Im having shifting problems when the car goes from 1st to 2nd. When going into 2nd the car winds out harder and revs up like it dont want to go into 2nd. It gets into 2nd but struggles to and throws my car off about a tenth. It dont do it everytime only every 7-10 passes down the track. I took it to a transmission shop and they took the pan off, checked the shifting selonoids, and did a transmission diagnosis and everything turned out ok. I thought it might be the cluthes or band but the transmission guy said since the pan was so clean that it couldnt be which makes sense. He is now wanting me to put in a recalibration kit. He said he thought that would take care of the problem but to me since the car is just now starting to do it how would a kit help it out. What do you guys think it could be.

Re: Need Transmission Help

Sounds like the 2-4 band is on it's way out.
