Need info on this tranny, shoebox or injuneer?

This is from the id plate on the side:

code number: 4FF D7
Serial Number: 102 131724

I'm trying to find out what year car this tranny came from. Thanks.

Perhaps it could be narrowed down if you stated whether it was an automatic or manual.

We have specific fourms for specific topics..... "identify this tranny" does not belong on "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech". Moving to "Drivetrain".

PLEASE post on the correct forum.

If it were out of a 93-97, it would have a VIN derivative that would identify the year.

Found out its out of a 94. Thanks for that site shoebox, exactly what i needed. What would happen if i put the 94 in my 97. I know 94's don't have pwm, so what would it do?

I don't think the TCC would engage properly. However, I think you might be able to swap parts to make it work. You will have to talk to someone who is more familiar with the situation.
