I never did this on a stock F-body rear. But no one else wants to step in so, I am almost certain the studs are press fit. In that case, if the parts are in good shape it should be relatively easy to pound out the old studs using the BFH. If you have an impact hammer, it will be easy. Now, to put the new ones in keep in mind that they are called "press" fit for a reason. The right way to do the whole job is with the axles removed using a hydraulic press (ditto for removal). However, if you are doing it with the axles installed, you can probably succeed using a big stack of washers or something else as a spacer and pulling them in with a lug nut and an impact wrench. Or else a regular wrench with a BF breaker bar.

Good luck. It should be kind of obvious once you start.

What year is your car? If its a 4th Gen, do you have TCS? It gets a bit harder to drive the old ones out if you have the TCS reluctor behind the axle flange, but it can be done. No need to pull the axels unless you just can't get past the reluctor gear. If its a 3rd or 4th Gen, you have the press-fit studs as Rich describes. If its any older than that, I don't know.

Just curious.... why do you need to "change studs to fit larger wheels"?

You might want to add a "signature" with basic info about your car, like year, model, engine, tranny and any major mods. That way people can help you without guessing.

I know that Al http://web.camaross.com/forums/member.php?u=248

knows how. He told me that the new stud heads need to be ground down slightly to fit past the reluctor wheel. I don't remember any warning or trouble with getting them out other than to be patient. I think that a 3 lb sledge will make it easier to knock them out than a regular claw hammer like I used. I only did the fronts so far because of the problems but I need them because I switched to the Baer rotors. My stock studs end nearly a 1/4" inside the end of the lugnut with the new rotors
