Need help with 4L60E breaking the pump shaft!!!

Ok here is the deal I have had the trans fixed twice know and the thing keeps breaking the pump shaft. Is there a reason for this? Like line pressure shifting to hard or maybe tighting the converter to tight I am just at a stand still. Anyone that can help please feel free to put your input in on this.

Thanks
Billy

My guess is that your torque converter was built without a lock-up damper. It's common for some manufactuerers to eliminate the damper, in order to make lock-up apply feel firmer. Who built your torque converter?

Are you talking about the input shaft that is attached to the input drum?, or the stator shaft that is in the front pump that does not turn? Which one are you breaking?, and when & how does it happen?

As the previous post said, what are you breaking? I am not familiar with the terminology you are using.

My converter was built by TCI and I am talking about the input shaft that is attached to the input drum. Its the part that the converter nose slides on to if that helps any better.

Thanks

TCI is notorious for problems with lock-up converters. I'd call them and ask directly if they remove the lock-up damper.

That is one of the reasons why I will not guarantee one of my units behind a TCI torque converter.
