Question More shifter noise after new clutch normal?

I have the Pro 5.0 shifter and it has always made more noise than the stock shifter, which I understand is normal. Just yesterday I installed a new SPEC stage IV clutch & PP. Along with this instal was a new pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and I changed the rear main seal. Everything seems normal except for more noise coming from the shifter from 2,000-3,000 RPM's. Is this normal? The only real difference in this clutch and the last one is the disc. Last one was a stock disc repaded like a dual friction disc. The SPEC stage IV disc is pucks on both sides and it is not a sprung hub. Could this cause more shifter noise or do I need to look into something?

Also, with the old setup the clutch engaged right off the floor, this one starts engaging half way up. Any way to adjust this? FYI, i have the stock style master slave, not an adjustable one.

Also changed the fluid in the tranny and it was out and empty for about two days, could this be the problem?

Dip the bottom half of the shifter handle in some of the rubberized coating. It helps silence the noise picked up.

Question

Green4Speed, thanks for the response. What type of rubberized coating do I need to use?

Just what ever you find in the hardware store. It comes in a can and you just dip what ever you want coated in.
