Mcleod street twin info

I run a mcleod street twin in my 95 vert.

Clutch has held awesome amounts of power with no problems except for a bit of funky wear and throwout bearing kills.

2 things to note though with this clutch.

When installing it make sure that you leave it shimmed exactly as Mcleod sets it up, this was a 500 dollar mistake to have the clutch rebuilt after some improper wear and about 5000 miles.

Some have ocmplained of a grinding noise when they depress the clutch after installation. There is a bolt that goes through the center of the clutch fork and there is a block it mounts to. Pull this dude out, take about 5-10 thousandths off of it. Also if it starts grinding after you drive for a while, make sure this bolt is tight.

Overall this clutch rules, ask mea ny mroe questions you may have about it!

How long before your throwout bearing went?? Mine just started rattling at about 1k miles. Just barely audible, but it's there.

The throwout bearing died right within about 500 miles of putting it in. The clutch would not disengage because that stupid little clip broke on it.

They all rattle with this clutch setup.... Don't worry about that.
