Major Leak Help Please!!

Major Leak Help Please!!

car is leaking tranny fluid like crazy i thought it was the pan gasket cause that what it looks like its coming from, just got it replaced its still leaking.....looks like its dripping from right in front of the pan thats why I thought gasket..guess not. this stuff is splattered all underneath my car.

this sucks I really need the car to get to and from school.

Pump seal looks like the problem.

hard to fix expensive? makes sense cause it stops leaking when cars off. Thanks for quick response.

The transmission has to come out to replace the front seal. Keep in mind that GM used JUNK teflon coated pump bushings in these. They are very known for literally falling out of the pump. We always replace them with regular babbit bushings when we build them. This means that simply replacing the front seal MAY NOT fix the leak.
Other places it could leak from...pump bolts, pump o-ring, or torque converter hub weld.

Ok i wiped everything down and can see clearly where its coming from now right in between the oil pan and transmission theres a silver metal thing I dont know what it is maybe the torque converter cover? Anyways it dripping out of the hole thats at the bottom of the metal thing.

It sounds like it's going to be coming from one of the areas I mentioned in my last post.

thanks for the help I'm going to take it to a shop Monday hopefully it won't be to expensive to fix.
