M6 to A4/ Swap ?s

Im debating on getting rid of my M6 and swaping in a built 4L60E with a converter.

I happen to have a best freind who wants the M6 and has the same year car as mine..

Heres my question.. If both cars are 97s can we simply swap everthing including PCMs and wiring harnesses or would it be easier to purchase a new harness each for the swap?? Neither car has T/C and both have C/C and are EXACT SAME options wise.

In case you want to know why Im getting rid of the M6 its simply due to the fact all I do is drag/bracket race the car and a A4 will fit the bill for me better. I had a A4 before and loved it..I guess I just like the A4s for some reason?
