M6 to 700r4 Swap Help

Hi Everyone! I am new to the board but not new to f-bodies. However I have never attempted something like this so I need some swap help. I have a rebuilt 700r4 from an 80's camaro. It came with a stock converter, factory TV cable, and the Torque Arm Bracket from the 80's camaro. I want to put this in my 94 Z28 that currently is an M6 (Not selling the t56 so stop drooling!). I am probably going to use the stock converter for a while until i can get the cash for an aftermarket one. Here are my questions regarding the swap.

How do I hook up the TV cable?
Can I use the M6 crossmember?
How do I wire up the Neutral Safety Switch and Reverse lights?
Can I use the 80's camaro Torque Arm Brackes? OR
Can I use the M6 Torque arm brackets?
Dipstick options?
Transmission Lines options?
Speedometer hook up?
Do i need the speedometer for the computer to run right?

I know how to hook up the TCC and I have a flexplate.

Anything else I am missing?

Thanks in advance!!

would you be willing to trade your M6 and pedals for a brand new pro-built 700r4 out of my 91z28. there are no miles on it and was built to withstand my (700hp)383 blower motor. it also has a 3600 continental stall.
my car really needs a 6 speed.

Sorry, I am going to hold on to them. I am not done with the T56 yet. If I get bored with the auto, I want to be able to revert back.

You will need a manual valve body for the 700R4 as it is non-electronic. I stringly urge you to put a 2400-2600 stall in it. Also, make sure it is in good shape before you put it in because the 700R4 is not very strong. I also highly suggest you put in a tranny shield with it. I put a piece of transmission case through my lower leg a couple of years ago when my 700R4 exploded during a burnout.

I never bothered to even try to hook up the speedo. Also, you need a manual lockup switch for the 700R4 for highway cruising, a tranny cooler, and install a switch for your backup lights if you want them to work.

I do not want to go to a maunal valve body plus the tranny is already built. Will the engine run correctly without the speedo hooked up? Do I need a specific TV cable? Is there a way to modify the 94 TB to accept the cable?

You do not need a manual valve body to make a 700r4 work. I put a 700r4 in my '95, but my car started with a 4l60e. The car should run fine without the speedo hooked up, but if you want you can use the speedo sensor from a car that came with a 4l60e (they should be cheap). I think you will have to re-tune the PCM for this because the A4 and M6 speedos read a different pulse widths (I think).

You can modify your throttlebody to work with the TV cable. I can send you an e-mail with pics on how I modified mine if you would like. The easiest way to do it is to find a '93 throttle body and a '93 cable bracket. I had trouble finding them (for a reasonablle price).
