lt1 and th350

hey guys, i j/ got my 94 lt1 running in my 87 s10 blazer and things seem to be running pretty great but im trying to clean some stuff up before i go and take it for a drive... i have a th350 transmission behind my motor and the 94
z28 camaro it came out of had an automatic transmission... so now i have a big pigtail w/ tons of wires that would have gone to the transmission, can i j/ chop them off ?? are there any issues i should be aware of using this motor and transmission combo? i did all of the wiring myself, no painless kits or anything, so i have the full harness

Your PCM will set numerous codes for the missing auto tranny components. It will also be trying to shift the missing 4L60E based on the programing. You might consider reflashing the PCM as an M6 to get rid of the codes and any issues of the PCM not seeing the A4 respond to its commands. Then you will only have the issue of the missing skip shift and reverse lockout solenoids, both of which can be simulated with resistors to prevent codes.

Will an A4 program in an M6 car effect the way the engine itself runs?

Or will it just set codes and throw a SES light because it is confused?

I did the swap in my car, and havnen't had the PCM re-flashed yet - and the engine hasnt been running right. I am wonering if it just needs to be flashed - or if I am having other issues not related to the swap....

i'm actually curious about the same thing... i've got tunercats where i can go and delete the codes but if it does effect the way the motor runs then it looks like i've got more work ahead of me..... also... what can i do w/ those wires.... i'm in the process as we speak of looming everything up and i would love to get ride of the big gob of wires going to the transmission some way or another
