A TH350 isn't any better transmission than a 4L60. We've got them in the mid 10's.

The computer doesn't shift a 4L60. The governor and TV cable do. Of course TCI also makes a manual valve body for the 4L60 (700).

To install a Th350 you'll need a $200 + adapter kit from Fitz-All to do it RIGHT. It comes with an output shaft that will allow you to use a 700 speedo, mount location, and tail housing. The kit also comes with a dipstick tube. You'll also need a converter for the TH350. To install the output shaft, you'll have to disassemble the transmission.
