been doing the search thing and really can't find any good info on the swap.....

is the a good post out there ???

I believe there is a sticky in the automatic transmission forum on www.ls1tech.com that has a ton of info. I did the swap myself a few months ago and it was relatively painless. There was some wire splicing involved, but it wasn't too bad. You'll definitely want to get the pedals, shifter, console insert, crossmember, correct year A4 wiring harness if swapping to a 4L60E, etc. from a donor car, which shouldn't be too difficult to find.

If going with a 4L60E you will need to do some wiring for the brake switch and shifter P/N switch to get everything working right.
