Question I'm in need of stall converter suggestions...

And if you guys had any advice I would greatly appreciate it! This Friday I'm getting a TH400 for my car, and I'll need a converter for it. I've got a B&M currently in my TH350, and it's been very good, but it's just a 2500 rpm converter. I'm wanting to go with a 3500 but all of the B&Ms, TCIs, and Hughes converters I've seen in Summit were no more than 3200 rpm or so, so I may end up buying one online. Have you guys had good luck with any particular brand? Any brands I should avoid?

Thanks!

If your running a Turbo trans and want a converter that has been claimed to have less then 1% slip then call Marty at Neil Chance Converters.

After running a B&M converter you will be shocked how the Neil Chance converter will perform. Night and day noticable difference!

I run a Neil Chance 2 peice converter. If I wanted to I could change the stall spped my self at the track and or if the tranny let go the converter is designed so a person can open it up to clean it.

IMO nothing truely compares to the Chance when it comes to quality and reliability. I guess if you had to purchase a alternative then Coan is ok but only if you go with a custome built converter from them. I my self am not a Coan converter fan but other you can speak to may have better to tell ya then I do.

Good Luck

Get a midwest converter- www.raceconverters.com

They will custom build one for you, and their prices are awesome. For my car, a 9.5" lockup converter shipped to me was $455. Because of the application I think it would be even easier for you.
