I have some questions about my 4l60E..

Hello, i got my transmission rebuilt on my 94 camaro z28 9,000 miles ago. and this was basically the only car i ever drove alot so i never noticed anything different until i got my truck. Anyways How long should it take the transmission to shift out of a gear? because everytime i put it from park to D it seems i have to wait long time. One time i was backing out of a parking lot and i put it in Drive and took off fast and the car acted as if i had it in nuetral and slammed it in drive. ? I am always completly stopped when i shift. and Also when i put it in gear and even if i have my foot all the way down on the brake the car will like jump and u can hear the brakes creak. but the car doesnt move.. Probably my brakes right? Anyways my last question is after driving when coming to a stop right before i stop i can feel the transmission shift (i dont know if its a down or up) and the car will leap a little . I never noticed these untill i started driving my truck alot more. Other then these my car drives normal. Anyhelp is appreciated thanks!

Sounds like you have a "delayed engagement". This is usually caused by a clutch pack taking too long to come on. Things like clutch clearance or apply pressure can cause a delay.
