I floor it, but it barely moves!?

Well, for the last few years i've noticed with my 97 A4 is that I can floor it. The engine roars, sounds like i'm goin 1,000 mph, and the car goes no where. It almost seems like the trans isn't hookin up all the way. My top end is allso really terrible. The car feels like it has no pull. Any idea's on what the heck could be goin on? Because I am puzzled, and starting to get fed-up with my LT1 gremblins. Thanks guys!

Sounds like an issue with the forward clutch pack or input sprag.

I'm really too familiure with trannies, but is that an easy fix, or would that require a full re-build? Thanks for the input!

Frank how much of a pain would it be to get a tranny from you? I live in the NW Burbs of Chicago. I noticed you lived quite a distance away. ...

Not a big pain at all. We ship transmissions all over the country (and outside). You'd be looking at around $80 (each way) to ship yours to us. There's a great "shipping instructions" link on our web site to guide our customers on how to make a shipping container. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me. 302-250-1202

Thanks,
Frank
