How long has your CPT transmission lasted?

Getting mine soon and need to know which level to get. Just wondering which transmission you guys are running from them and what kind of power you are pushing. Just wanna know which direction to take. My car will be about 330rwhp NA and 100hp of NO and a 3800 stall.

You'l be fine with a "race" rebuild until you start diping into the 1.6 60' times. I have the "Pro Race" rebuild on mine and it's doing great. Of course I've only taken it to the track once and run a 1.601 60' with no problem. I purchased it about this time last year. It's been sitting on jack stands though now for about 6 months because I'm putting in a new rear end and that's on hold since I'm in this crap hole called Iraq right now.

CPT has been awsome for myself and my brother. Many folks are getting great results and their trannies are actually holding up. I plan on shooting a 200 shot with my 383 off the line once I return from Iraq and install a fresh moser 12 bolt. The 1.601 60' was N/A 383 with a 10 bolt that held up just fine.

Frank at CPT is also very professional. He actually inspects the tranny to ensure everything will function properly. Unlike a lot of tranny shops who just throw pieces together and can't figure out why you keep burning up 3-4 clutch bands.

60 ft. times are what really make the "Pro race" neccessary. Of course, we've seen stock '60E output shafts break in 12 second cars. The steel input pistons are a good idea in ANY 4L60E.
If you plan on steep gears, or sticky tires, you might want to go with the "Pro Race" with 430 RWHP.

I have had a "Race" rebuild last me well over 2 years, many thousnads of DD miles, and a ton of races... Mine was built before a lot of items in the Pro-Race were available, and may upgrade in the future if I ever get to that point... But either way going with CPT is just a smart move, just the refresh service alone sets them above other shops, and I may take them up on that depending on how the car reacts to my next round of mods, it's not having any issues I am just hoping for hopeing for sub 1.5 60's...

I just noticed we haven't ever heard anymore about this. Have you chosen another builder, or are you still trying to decide?
We have MANY cars in the deep 11's that have several years on them. Check out our "CPT CARS" for pictures and quarter mile times for some of the work we've done. The 11.0 vidoe of the LT1/700R4 Mazda RX7 doesn't lie. Neither does the Firebird with the front wheels 8" in the air. As soon as Kevin gets his new engine combo sorted out, we're hoping for passes even quicker than his 9.7.

Thanks,
Frank
