How to fix reverse sycro step by step
For those who dont' know the reverse syncro can be flipped over to use a unused side. This fixes the "popping out of reverse" problem.
This is super easy guys.
the only special tools required are split ring pliers and snap ring pliers.
To start
1. Remove shifter
2. remove pin that holds the shifters socket. (don't know proper term)
3. remove the 15mm bolts that hold the tail case on.
4. slide off tailshaft o ring
5. remove snap rings & speedo reluctor wheel. (mine took a little convincing to get off... )
6. remove the next snap rings, and slide off reverse gear, needle bearings, and 2 bushings
7 remove blocker
8. remove snap ring in the reverse shift fork (???? name?) and the snap ring holding on the sincro.. Remove together
I had to switch the guts around because for some reason mine wouldn't just flip over and go on. It wasn't a big deal, I did it in 2 minutes with some needle nose pliers and I put it together with just my hands. there are no springs to fly out or nothing like that.
Finally reassemble.. Make sure to keep everything clean and in the right order and orientation. It was super easy to fix this.

I think they are over 100 bucks but why changed it when only 1/2 is used.. at this point a new one and a fresh one have the exact same life span ahead of it..
