How do i correct my speedometer!?!?!

I just put in a t56 tranny into my '94, and i believe it came from a '93. Now my speedometer is off. It reads 40mph when im on the highway. I need to check the tag to see if its the M28/M29.

Anyways, how do i correct the speedometer? Is there something in the rear of the transmission that i could change or should i have my PCM sent out to get re-programmed?

yeah, that might be my easiet thing to do

Another question on the '93 tranny. I swapped my Skip shift eliminator plug and put it in a connector, thinking it was the CAGS solenoid. Did i put the plug in something else? It did seem like i had an extra connector hanging around.

The '93 T56's (both the M28 and the M29) didn't come with the skip shift option. So I don't know what you have plugged in where, but its not right.

Did you check out "jagsthatrun" to see if its a difference in the number of teeth in the VSS reluctor gear on the 93 T56, compared to the 94-and-up T56?
