Clutch Problems???

A Few months ago my 96 camaro my car would make a grinding noise if i started up to fast in any gear, mostly 1st. so for the past few months ive had to start into first gear extremely slow so it wouldnt make that noise. now just about a week ago if i give it to much gas the car will just rev up the rpms and not pick up speed for a few seconds. after those few seconds it will finally kick into gear and go. are these problems related and how much would you estimate the cost of this to be fixed? Thanks

Go about 35-40mph put it into 6th gear and floor it, if the rpms go up and car isnt goin anywhere you have a slipping clutch and have to replace it. As far as grinding noise wouldnt know what to tell you.
