High stall guys inside please!! (WS6ZXR post)

I had a quick question. I havent' ever driven a "performance" A4 before, only the stocker I had before I did my T56 swap. The new car drives somewhat "weird", and I had written it off to having the built 4L and a high stall.... so does your high stall car:

At "idle"(remember this car currently idles at about 1200 in gear) the car goes forward with no brakes applied, stops fine.
At "low throttle" (<15% or so), car VERY slowly speeds up
At "mid throttle" (15-50% or so), revs quickly increase, speed slowly increases until about 2500 rpm, then speed comes up much quicker
At "full throttle" (50% to WOT), revs SNAP up to about 2500-3000, car pulls HARD forward and speeds up super fast...

The reason I ask is I went and talked to the dealership that sold the car last year, and they had thought the transmission was slipping. It didn't seem to "slip" to me, but I may be mistaken. Thoughts?

Additionally, I want to swap engines and other things with my Vert.... so my mostly stock engine will be pushing this transmission/converter. Should I cam my "old" engine to be able to use this converter, or sell the converter for a stocker???

PS this is a repost from WS6ZXR to see if I can get some more responses

Sounds pretty typical to me.

ya it sounds like a higher stall converter, if it was slipping it would most probably happen under heavy load or acceleration.(high RPM)

Def. sounds like a stall. If it's that noticable. IT is probably somewhere over a 3500 stall
