Good Gear Ratio????

Hi i am wanting to gear my 95 Camaro LT1 Convertible and i was wondering if 3.73's are to much or would 3.42's be good i am wanting speed but i want that exceleration! You all know what i mean if you could help me out! Thanks

Depends how much time you spend on the freeways. If you are always cruising at 80mph, the revs are going to be high and fuel mileage will drop. If you are more interested in the typical "stop light drags" performance, the 3.73's will make it feel a lot stronger off the line. That assume you have tires sticky enough to take advantage of the greater rear wheel torque on launch.

What gears do you have now - 2.73 or 3.23? Your signature indicates you already have 3.73's?????

Just out of curiosity, why did you elminate the electronic 4L60E, replacing it with a 700R4?
