Fork travel length

Just replaced my clutch, PP, Pilot Bearing, slave and master.

Bled system several times and still have shifting problems (especially in reverse) with the clutch engaging just off the floor.

How far should the slave rod be pushing the fork when the clutch pedal is depressed?

I am going to install the slave without the fork cover to see how much travel I have (or don’t have).

Thanks
